[NEWS] BEAST TO BE THE FACE OF RAMEN IN JAPAN!

K-pop group Beast has become the new face of Nongshim’s iconic line of spicy instant noodles, Shin Ramen.

Nongshim Japan said on March 30 that the band was picked to represent the brand just in time for the launch of Shin Ramen Black available in bowls, which was launched in coincide with the company’s 10th anniversary in Japan.

“We believe that the band’s daring attitude as a leading K-pop group embodies the heat and passion encapsulated in our ramen,” said a spokesperson for Nongshim Japan.

The band will star in two TV advertisements; one for the original version of Shin Ramen and one for Shin Ramen Black, which the company claimed to have nutritional value equivalent to a bowl of Korean-style beef soup at the time of launch.

The band recorded a song “Red & Black” to be used for the commercials and in the red version, the band exudes a strong K-pop flavor with a powerful dance performance. Meanwhile in the commercial for the prestigious black version, the band assumes a bold persona as the video was shot in monotone accompanied by rock and roll beats.

The commercials are set to air in Japan as well as being available from the ramen company’s Website from April 2.

Idol group MBLAQ recently updated their fans, letting them know what they were up to as of late.

MBLAQ who appear to be focusing on their studies like their college student peers wrote, “You can stop worrying about us a bit! Until we return, please do not let your eyes wander, and we hope all of our A+ can become studious students like us.”

Members Seungho and Lee Joon who are studying Information & Communications at Kyunghee Cyber University have often been spotted carrying around their laptops, catching lectures online.

According to a statement from their agency J. Tune Camp, “We have always adjusted plans for their activities, accommodating unexpected circumstances, but in the last half of the year, we want to make sure the boys will be taking enough time off to take care of their health, grow as individuals and also take time to study.”

As of now, the boys are taking some well-deserved time off to recharge, and are focusing on planning their various individual activities.

[NEWS] BIG BANG ATTRACTED THE MOST JAPANESE FANS TO KOREA FOR THEIR CONSERTS

After they released their mini album 'Alive' on 29th of last month, Big Bang held their concerts in Seoul and over 3,000 Japanese fans went to watch them. It is the biggest number of Japanese fans that went to a Korea for a concert.

According to Look Korea Travel Agency, there were approximately 3,500 Japanese fans who went to watch the concerts held from 2-4 of March. They bought about 5,200 tickets, which means most of them watched the concert more than once.

In the past, there were about 2,800 people who went to Ryu Si Won's concerts and at most, 2,000 Japanese fans went to DBSK's concerts.
